Arctic Bay Once Again Donates Premium Parkas as Part of the CVRF Elder Program
Each winter, the Coastal Villages Region Fund (CVRF) supports elders in rural villages in Alaska by distributing food, heating sources, and clothing as part of its Elder Program. This program benefits handfuls of member communities and impacts hundreds of elders by offering special benefits to offset the high cost of living during the winter.

Arctic Bay is proud to be participating in the annual initiative once again by donating our premium Canadian arctic parkas. In addition to the parkas, the CVRF will also be delivering two custom drums with 30 gallons of heating oil in each drum and approximately 100 lbs. of meat from Costco in the upcoming weeks.

Staying warm during the winter is a high priority for families living in Western Alaska and we are happy to help make that possible. Arctic Bay’s parkas for men and women are designed with special features for durability and warmth. They are filled with quality duck down and feature a coyote fur ruff to prevent facial heat loss. Since North America’s winters can reach extremely cold temperatures, our parkas offer critical insulation. The beaver fur beard guard also helps to protect the delicate skin from harsh winter air. To stay dry, our parkas are made with a waterproof/breathable shell, so our elders can stay comfortable no matter what outdoor activity they do.
The Elder Program has been taking care of elder in Alaska since 2008, and Arctic Bay is proud to be participating in such a genuine initiative. We appreciate all those who are spreading the holiday spirit with us and helping take care of our elders!
